Wow. Already feel relief. Just bought.

Just adjusting the frequencies and playing with white noise, i already have some relief. To be able to use with my music is great. I have bought downloaded every tinnitus app. Suggestions are allow it keep playing and still use other apps on iPad. But will use phone so i can use iPad. 2nd suggestion..be able to edit tone and listen again without create a new profile, but might be way to do this. Awesome app. Happy i spent money. Will review after longer term usage. Thankkk you for this app.

Great tool

It is a pleasure to have this app out there with the limited choices that address tinnitus. The theory looks great but is it sustainable? It has a lot of potential for those of us contending with tinnitus and so far one of very few that implement sound therapies cost effectively. It took a while to figure out how to adjust settings...

Easy to use, might work a little

I was worried because we havent seen a new version lately. The old version crashed frequently, and this one did also crash once during a few hours of use, it seems worst when you double-tap the home button to switch apps. After using this app a while, normal music sounds tinny. Interface is clean. It could use a few things: the ability to remove profiles, landscape support, and balance control. Because the people who use this app almost by definition have mild hearing issues, the latter feature seems an obvious oversight. Im not convinced this works as therapy, you are probably better off abstaining from headphone use. But for those of us who cannot, this app offers some hope.

Functional, But Crashes With iTunes Match

If you dont use iTunes Match, the app works fine. I cant vouch for if it actually has any effect, since I only started using it, but it does seem to "notch" the music correctly. There are serious stability problems when using the app with iTunes Match. Ive tried it on an iPod and an iPad and both have the same issue. Nine times out of ten the app just does not start. If it does, and it gets through the lengthy wait for the playlist to load, it refuses to play any of the songs in iTunes Match, mistakenly saying they are DMR tracks. I believe this is an Apple issue. iTunes Match has been buggy since its introduction and it displays this behavior in several other music apps. I would encourage the developers to put as much pressure as they can on Apple to fix this issue, because if your customers dont know what the issue is, they are going to blame it on the app. The developers shouldnt be blamed for Apples mistakes.

White noise too short

Great potential, but please provide longer white noise files. Id love to use this when sleeping. However, the white noise only lasts 3 minutes. There is a moment of silence as it restarts, and i hear my tinnitus blaring during that moment. Seems counter productive to the apps goals. Would love a continuous white noise like other apps offer.

Does not play music on ipad air

Gives an error that music is DRM protected for every song in itunes, including ones that are not DRM. Please fix

Great app

What I really like about this app is it gives you a way to determine the frequencies driving you crazy, by ear then design a mapping to help detune yourself to ignoring the tinnitus sound. Its even working with my pulsatile tinnitus. Just having a tool that doesnt cost $2-5k is wonderful. I really like this app!

Just as described, nice design, much cheaper than alternatives

App seems to do what it claims it does in that I can clearly hear the differences in a white noise file when I change the range of the notch. App goes up to both 16 kHz for detection and notching. UI is pleaseant and is mostly self-explanatory, but there is a help overlay if you dont know what certain features do. You can use one of the provided noise files for notching, or you can import your own noise or music file. You can also create a playlist of files for notching. You can track your tinnitus volume over time, but considering notch therapy can take months Id not obsess over tracking it too much. Although the price tag is high, this does seem like an effective app with a profession design and features. Its a lot cheaper than paying thousands for a device or hundreds a year for an online service that does the exact same thing. Much thanks to the developer (who does respond to messages) for offering a much more reasonably priced alternative.

Easy to ID Tinnitus range and create notched music

App is fairly well designed and easy to use. Matching ones Tinnitus frequency separately for each ear is a breeze. So is creating a playlist of your favorite music. Its too soon to say whether this "notched music" approach will be an effective treatment for me. But Im really pleased that I can try it without the time and expense it would take to receive from the limited number of professionals that can provide what is still basically an experimental treatment. For an update I would like to have the White Noise to run without the sound gap when it loops. Id like to use it for sound to sleep by instead of our "Sound Machine." Tried it and the pause in the sound repeatedly woke my wife.

Helpful

When my tinnitus is at a lower level this app using notched white noise has eliminated the tinnitus for many hours or the day. It had helped as a masking device as well providing many options for relief. The biggest improvement would be to adjust right and left volume levels in the app and provide multiple octave notches in a single setting. But for a severe tinnitus sufferer this app has been a big help at times. Keep proving it!

Easy setup - excited to see what happens

Ive had tinnitus bad for about 9 years. Its constant and has gotten worse. Theres been a lot of research and talking about notched sound therapy. This app was easy to setup and the ability to test per ear was great. I cant wait to see how it works over the next few months. The built in stats about how long Ive listened will keep me true. ****Update**** The app keeps forgetting my sound profile. This means that certain features like tracking tinnitus level and app usage stats do NOT work. Hopefully theyll make it more stable.

Helpful

Started having right ear ringing for the first time in my life today. Listened to music through this app for about an hour. Instant relief while listening to it. Ringing seems less bothersome after taking headphones out and going about my day. Hopefully the ringing will be gone by tomorrow but if not I know what to do for some relief.

Shuffle Broke

The app functions as expected except for the shuffle functionality for my music. It seems to play the same song over and over for each shuffle. Also the white, pink, and brown noise are short loops and fade out between loops, which is distracting.

Absolute Garbage

After spending quite a bit on this app and using it for a few hours, the shuffle function completely stopped working. Now, all it does is loop the same song continuously, without even letting me skip to the next track. So, what--Im supposed to listen to one song for hours on end for an entire year to see results? No thanks. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Like it

General features work well. Intuitive and easy to explore and learn. I use Etimotic buds to exclude ambient sound. Sounds great. Time will tell whether its effective in reducing my serious tinnitus. Music features work great. Easy replacement for Apple music app. Seems to just use the iOS music API. Cannot imagine why others are having trouble unless they dont understand basic Apple music features. Feature request: enable use with Pandora. Thatd be sweet.

Warning

To create a profile you must listen to and match the high pitch tone of your tinnitus. Doing so may worsen your tinnitus. Proceed with caution.

A great benefit and sleep aid

My advice is to keep the volume low when you do the matching of the tones and do the set up. I have been using this app for 2 years almost every day and found it to be a great sleep aid. Notched music doesnt cure tinnitus or lower the volume, but it is much more "gentle" on your ears to listen to when I use it at the gym. This app combined with a track that is just the sound of rain playing over and over with a notch when it is playing completely and gently masks my tinnitus at night . I sleep with it every night with the timer at 90 minutes or just keep it on all night. This app is not a cure but it is a great benefit when combined with white noise tracks. Its the only way I can relax.

Does not load my music - no response from tech support

The app does not use my itunes or apple music songs. This makes the app pretty useless. I tried to contact the app authors and received no response. Very frustrating as it appears that do not provide support. I am willing to change my review if we can get some support and our issue is fixed. It is a lot of money for it to not work.

Mixed results

Before buying this app, know that it has not been updated in over a year. This app is easy to use and set-up, but it comes up short as a sleep aid. The ambient sounds are quite good, but they cycle and fade out every two minutes rather than maintain a constant tone.

Very good at identifying frequency, bad as a music player

I think this app has great potential, but when the whole gimic is that you can listen to your own music, then it just plays the same track over and over again, it doesnt make a whole lot of sense. The shuffle button doesnt work, it just plays the same track over and over. Obviously, that gets old very quickly.
